Dear General,

Sorry for replying to you so late. I read your entry only a short while ago. There are problems with my computer. For example, I can't use blogs (I can't read or write blog entries) on it. That is why I can't read this blog regularly. In other words, I am now typing this entry with another computer.

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I get upset quite easily. Students' response and attitude affect me a lot. But then I become excited equally easily. A step forward, no matter how small the step, is enough to make me happy.  I will go on trying my best to help my students.

I enjoy learning as much as, or even more than, I enjoy teaching. The journey from ignorance (knowing nothing) to gradual understanding is so exciting. As a matter of fact, there are so many things I don't know and I want to know. However, being a teacher leaves me very little time for systematic learning. I wish I were still a student, a full-time student.

General, make good use of your time! Stop giving yourself excuses. Have confidence in yourself. Keep moving ahead. Stay focused and work hard every day. I'm sure you can make much more than a small step ahead!

Claudia

Dear all,

Don't forget to publish your entries after creating them, otherwise non- members can't read them! Actually no one can read them on the visitor's page unless we have logged on and entered the 'create an entry' page.

Dorothy,

You are right. We should be brave and confident in ourselves. Making mistakes is a valuable experience if we can learn from our mistakes. If we never try bravely, we can never learn. The most important thing is we won't keep making the same mistakes.

Kathy,

Thank you for sharing with us Reeves's words about dream. You know, he is one of my idols. I have his autobiography (or one of his). He was a truly courageous fighter. The book is both humorous and touching. I hope that I will have a chance to talk about him in class.

Christy,

Who are So So and Mr Ho?

A bee flew into the classroom? I had such an experience too. At that time, the whole class screamed. Two other  teachers came and had a look. They thought an accident had happened.

Priscilla,

Glad you like the idea of writing blog entries. Every entry contributed now will be a sweet memory in the future. I'm sure about that. But of course, there are also advantages in handing in exercise books. For example, only one person will know what you have written. Sometimes we just need a quiet listener. We don't want the whole world to know our thoughts and feelings. There is less pressure on the writer.

Key,

I'm glad you enjoy listening to English songs.  Good songs are  literature, which reveals deep human feelings. I have chosen my favourite ones to share with students of this school. The melody together with the lyrics (both the content and the language) of each song gives us a delightful experience. And of course, I hope the songs can help to improve students' English. I have learnt a lot from English songs.

Haylie,

28 ? Are you serious? You mean 28 so far? Since when? How many each time? Your flat must be very spacious! You're a loving pet owner, aren't you?
